it's the seachem safe where the real bang for your buck happens. powder form, treats a buttload more than liquid prime does when compared at cost per gallons.

unfortunately i can't find safe anywhere near me, only regular prime.

yeah if you want seachem safe you prolly gonna have to order it online. Get a couple people to go in together and buy a big bucket of it, thats what I plan on doing. They make them up to 4kg / 8.8lbs for around $100 with that I think you could dechlorinate/dechloramine Lake Michigan, Big savings!

I use the Seachem Prime, and also Seachem Stability. The only bad part is that if I don't use all the treated water, I have to toss it! The Stability is 'good bacteria', but if it's not added to the tank right away, it turns into 'not so good bacteria'. (Found this out the hard way, lost a few tetras in the beginning.) I know this, because I've done water tests on treated water next day, and it was not good!

:ROFL:Im not sure if it's 'pure ass', but it does have a distinctive smell...

Nope that is definitely the smell of pure ass. Smells absolutely rank. But does an awesome job on my tanks.

I'll do you one better. Pond Prime is sold under the company name Water Garden Oasis. Water Garden Oasis is a Seachem company. It even says so on the label. With Pond Prime, 1 capful treats 100 gallons!

That's what I use. I actually found a 2l bottle(does 40,000 gallons of water) on clearance---$27 :headbang2:headbang2!!!!!!!!! Prime is all I use. I've yet to find anything better or more cost effective.

I used to use AmQuel and NovAqua and those 2 products smelled 10x worse than Prime. Prime is so much better and it's cheaper too. With AmQuel/NovAqua, you've got to use both to neutralize ammonia/nitrite/chlorine but with Prime, it's just 1 bottle and so much more convenient. Plus it's stronger than those 2 and lasts you much longer per bottle.

Set up another tank:D, and used the Seachem Prime, Stability, and Clarity....the Clarity really works quickly! Nice stuff, and the fish so far are loving it too.:D
