Good morning... *yawns*

So, how do I go about shipping reptiles?

I've only shipped fish, crayfish and terrestrial inverts before but I assume the process is similar? Heat/Cold packs depending on the weather, expedited or overnight shipping, well insulated and packed boxes, insurance and tracking? Stuff like that, right?

Thanks for any and all help!

You have the idea. Pretty similar process, put reptile in a small plastic container (poke holes in top for oxygen obviously!) and put something in there (paper towel, paper shreddings, etc) to absorb all the shock and jostling that takes place as the package makes its voyage. Container should be large enough for animal to "stretch out" but not big enough for them to be moving/walking around much (this also reduces amount of space for them to be jostled in, reducing chances of injury).

Overnight shipping for any live animal to minimize stress as much as possible.

It's a little pricey, but I've used it and it's a lot easier than trying it on your own.

Another random question, UPS and FedEx websites say that they will only accept packages with live animals if the package is scheduled to arrive at the destination the next day. Normally this would mean selecting Next Day or Overnight shipping. If someone is my shipping corridor where ground would reach them the next day, can they be shipped that way? (...cuz it would save my buyer about $30)
