Questions I have about florida gars.

Jardini arowanas can be aggressive toward tankmates. Once they get around the 10 inch mark especially.

Florida gars would be a better choice as they have the hardware to tolerate this aggression. Similar sized fish and hope they get along. Will likely need some dithers in there. See what the jar keepers say.
 
ok, I heard fire eels do well with gars. like I said before I have a PH of 8.0 so would the eel do well?
 
That still should be fine. Fire eel should be large in size.
 
Ph up to 8.0 has been reported for a fire eel. Should do fine.
 
Fire eels come from Asia where the water pH will vary greatly up to 8.0. Wait to hear from some fire eel owners.

I think also adding some peat moss will help to lower ur tank ph if it's an issue. Something to think about atleast.
 
I heard that they like to burrow, I was going to have a bare bottom aquarium. Is that a problem?
 
Yes. They do like to burrow. As long as you have driftwood to house the eel it should be fine.

Can add sand if u change ur mind about a substrate.
