Try using tetra safestart. Might speednspeed the bb process up and allow it to be less stressful on the fish

I used it initially but not after my first waterchange mate

If you used it with out any fish then tjere was nothing to feed the bb. I would add it again buy two bottles when u see your ammonia and nitrite creeping up add another dose.you have to wait at least 24 HRS after adding declorinator before adding safestart.
