OK the plan that I wanted to do for a drain will not work now. I had a little dilema when I started up the tank and one of my baffles in the sump gave way. The water was supposed to raise to a certain level in the chamber and then drain once water level was reached.. That chamber is now gone. The tank is running and the sump is glass so drilling a new hole is out of the question. I am guessing I now need a small pump and some sort of way to trigger it to pump water out of the sump any suggestions will be great thanks everyone

drilling glass is way easer than you may think

watch this guy

the only trick is getting it started, you start with just the edge of the bit on the glass and apply very, very gentle pressure, you may have to rest your elbow on the glass surface to hold it steady while it starts to dig in
just take your time

there is another video where the guy talks you through it step by step, look around you can probably find it.

bits are available pretty cheap off the net usually under $50.00

Pretty easy, just two wires to connect. Nothing that is super hard. I always recommend two. You take the second and wire it up just the opposite and use it as a pump cutoff to ensure that you do not drain the sump should your other switch stick in the on position.

OK what the solendoid for? I'm already putting a solenoid inline of my supply to shut water supply incase of flooding and power outage. I need another?

Oops. I got ahead of myself. You would only need that for when there is a pressurized water source. You should be OK without it.
