I have a Snowflake Eel, Marine Betta, and Kole Tang in my tank with no invertebrates whatsoever. I also never plan to have any inverts ever, so would it be ok to use Cupramine to treat my tank for Marine Ich?

The Gramma I was going to give to my mother seems to have had it and now my Kole Tang is having an outbreak, but as always, if one has it they all probably have it.

Thanks for any advice.

The problem here will be that the copper will kill all the bacteria in your tank. So any rock and sand you have will be useless because it will absorb the copper and not harbor beneficial bacteria. This absorption will also make it difficult to maintain a consistent level of copper for treatment.

I would strongly advise against doing it in the main tank for these reasons, but if you absolutely have to its better than letting your fish die.

Got them set up now in a 20 Gallon long. Thank god the eel is still a baby so I can take care of him in a small tank.

Started them on Copper Power tonight... here's to hoping they get better!
