Hi. Just got all the plumbing for my new tank and not 100% sure on how to fit the bulkheads, they have two washers on them, one rubber and one nylon. Does it matter which way they are fitted? I am guessing the rubber washer should go on the water side of the tank and the nylon washer on the dry side but not sure. Also should i put some aquarium sealant around the flanges before i do them up or just tighten them as they are? Thanks

Yes rubber on the inside, i don't think this actually matters but i always do the rubber on the inside - no sealant is required just turn them until it's tight and then put a slight turn on for good measure.

It's rare you will get a leak on one and it's only a slight turn to stop it if you ever do.

The tank nearly there now?
