yea i ended up gettin one .........i got a one inch one and hes in a thirty gallon by himself.........hes so little and still really aggresive........he follows me when i walk by the tank to...........pretty awsome fish............

ed my dads jack dempsy up.chewwed off his tail and took a chunk out of his side.hes a mean little er he also tried picking on my pacu ,but hes got at least 4" on him.suprisingly,the JD survived the torture 2 times and lives to tell the tale, but hes staying in a different tank now.im getting a new 70 gal. tank today so my butti should be happy.

An lfs had him in a tank with convicts at 5.00. I never saw one before, and was just starting up a small african 40 g. high setup. The butti is gorgeous, they are great looking fish, I just wish it would grow. I would eventually if it ever gows, like to house it on its own as kind of a pet. They are such great looking cichlids, and very owner responsive, so I hear.
