Understandable. In no way did I mean to compare these to leos and I should have made that more clear. I was just giving my example of non arboreal herps doing arboreal things. Leos aren't even in these guys' league but it does make sense that a monitor would be somewhat arboreal. Even Komodo dragons are arboreal when they are small but then go terrestrial when they obviously get too big. The big claws on monitors definantly help to be arboreal.

Those kims are sweet! And when I was in Australia 99% of the time I saw them in an aboreal state. I personally found it odd since they werent tree monitors.
 
O they are fantastic, I really had no idea how arboreal they were.
