Just a quick question, can I keep a Tigrinus to together with a capapretum and generally, is it ok to have rays with catfishes?

If you have room yes, for these species, just keep in mind that fish can fight and nothing is writ in stone.

The ray question I don't qualify to answer. As for the two brachies, I have had a 2' capa with 1.5' tig in a 240 gal for half a year. Seems ok so far. I'd not be surprised if eventually some problems arise.

Neither would I house a small capa with any other brachie perhaps with the exception of dourada.

Capa's mode of coping with any (!) attacks or perceived threats is to run full throttle like on fire without any regard where furniture and walls are. The result is always an injury to the snout and eventually a lethal blow to itself, lethal brain injury, I assume.

Hmm I see...

Are douradas generally peaceful?
Yes, about as flighty as capas are. Their coping mechanism is the same - run like hell. They have been no good IME with any other brachies (including other douradas) but capa (at about the same sizes).
