when using pool sand, does it help to keep doing water changes to help the water clear faster?

i rinsed it 10 times before i put it into the tank, it's still cloudy as hell... i mean its only been an hour, just wondering how long it takes to finally settle and if changing the water would speed up the process.

Leslie's pool supply... it was 10 bucks for a 50 pound bag.

I rinsed mine for about 20 minutes and my water was clear within 30 minutes (220 gallon). I have always heard good things at Leslie's sand. That sucks dude.
