Quick question. I am annoyed with my Aquaclear powerhead

I bought my aqua clear 50 powerhead to power my 18 watt turbo twist UV. The problem is it has this "airline" on it that is not only unattractive but it squirts water and is an eyesore in the tank. Is there any way to remove it and plug the hole? Any way I can make sure its closed off completely ? I am worried it leaches water out etc.

Basically I dont need this function of the powerhead for air or whatever. What would you do ?

They sell rubber plug that you plug up this hole. If you want to permanently plug it then slap some silicone glue on it then let it cure overnight.

Doh! Good call. I think im gonna use the plug. Where might I find one?
BTW thanks for all the help this is like the third question today you have helped me with I am getting time again to work on my tanks. I suffered a huge unexpected family loss and had trouble with some employee's

N/P man, I've been thru trying to find parts and looking for answers. You were lucky I have been browsing the forum or else I would've missed your questions. I'm glad I can share my knowledge and pass it onto another member. For the plugs, I know Pep Boys or Auto Zone sell them in the vacuum line section. They're quite expensive at $5 a pack. Most powerhead supply them with it. I'm surprise your AC did not come with it. You can try searching on Foster and Smith or HomeDepot but your chance is slim. It looks something like this.

Silicone it is... Ive been wanting to run the hoses for my UV differently (In black now!) Ill just silicone the bad boy and (Hopefully!!) Save some cash.
