So much for providing all info up front.
IF the pond water is the same temp, salinity, pH, etc as the water the free-swimmers were born in AND the pond water isn't turbid, stagnant, poisoned from run-off, full of parasites/amoebae/fungi/etc. then, it may be OK to place the fry in pond water. If the pond is a yard decorative pond, so long as it's filtered and provides cover for the fry it should be OK, too.
