For now this is a FOWLR setup, but I'm only stocking fish that are reef safe because eventually I'll buy the lighting a reef deserves prior to starting a reef.

Need to get a foothold before I dive in.

And pics will definitely be posted when it is completed.

Sweet! The single Powerhead should be fine for now then but there's no harm in adding more! You want to let your tank run for about 6 months before you do corals anyway so you're on the right track.
