alright i have a couple dumb questions retaining to water conditioner ad nitrogen removers? alright how do he water conditioners "remove" clorine and heavy metals? from what i was told they do not remove it the detoxify it? is that true and how? also with the nitrogen removers do they just turn ammonia to amonium to detoxify it and if so how? or does it actually remove it in some way? anyone kno the truth to these magic chemicals?

i dunno how it works exactly but i think the same thing in it binds to the heavy metal atoms and prevents it from reacting further like damaging the living cells in your aquarium.
