Sump, you won't regret it. Good place to put heaters and tons of media. You could even do plants down there if you wanted. My vote is sump all the way.

Two Eheim 2262 will do the job just fine. I'd go canister.

Sump hides all the extras and is a good place to put stuff you need to add. Canister filter I loved mine on my 50 gallon but couldn't picture doing it for my 220

If I went with a sump do I just need a weir added to the tank? Will they automatically drill the bottom in the weir section for me? What size sump would I need for a 260 gal tank? Thanks for the help so far

i would agree if not comfortable with running a sump, I would add a couple of AC110 to that for a 250.
