Sounds like you have a very good landlord......Really nicely done,one day I will get my basement up to snuff and photo worthy.
 
All is well.

Tore the tank down, Came home from work Friday and spotted fry hiding within the rocks.
So i tore the tank down, managed to net the surviving few. Got exactly 10 fry.
Cant wait to see what they are.

Going to hunt down a 5.5 or a 10 gallon from Craigslist for them to grow in.

Know just what you mean,I've used those "playpens" many times with baby fish....If you lived closer to my location I'd have a ten gallon for them to stretch out in.
 
None of the rocks in the big tank are siliconed, they are just sitting in place on there own.
