if i eat genetically modified food it's without my knowledge.

but then again, not many fruits and vegetables for sale in your local grocery store aren't genetically modified.. almost all that is sold in the produce section has been bred and hybridized to better meet our needs and our taste buds. and by definition that is genetic modification..

it all comes down to what is genetically modified. Is it only new age gene altering, or any selective breeding regimes to get the traits you want? It's such a hotly debated field because it's so vague.

selectively breeding is indeed a form of genetic modification. however, with the onset of DNA technology, it has taken on a whole new level of sophistication and diversity in terms of what we are able to alter and produce.

I really don't want this to turn into a discussion, so I appreciate the participation as I'm doing this formally for my Statistics class.
