I'm curious how you have your water out put facing? Is that it shooting into the right upper corner?

I really like keeping water lettuce and frogbit, but from my experience it doesn't do well with a lot of surface movement/agitation. Otherwise Id go grab some right now. Is this your experience?

I've had the same experience so I removed the spray bar from the Eheim and have it simply pouring into the corner to create nothing other than surface agitation to the aerate the water. I have a second eheim, again with the spray bar removed simply dumping straight down in the back and then I have an FX5 that has the spout just right of center where you see it creating a break at the surface. It took a while to get it here but I'm happy with the results.

Thank you. They are definitely an understated pike. I like them too but they are hard to photograph to get the subtle colors.
 
Love everything about that setup. Looks amazing.
