Very nice. Those are some big fish! The foot gage is a good change from the Hulon hand.
The many different colors are like a box of English All Sorts.

Hulons hand has become the official measuring instrument for cichla.
Funnily enough we don't call them English All Sorts over here.


Lovely collection there Ash. Still not added any blue yet? Your making me very jealous. We just moved Lauras 6x2x2 into the house the other day. Unfortunately no cichla though. We have a jag, festae, loiseli and oscars.
I'm just hoping that one day I have the money and space for a monster tank so I can set up a nice permanent home for a nice group of cichla.

No blue Tim - it is very tempting for me to nip out ever weekend and grab 2 from Pier but i just don't think they would be large enough for the Monos?

If i could get away with it then i for sure would, the Orino and 2 Kels get no grief from the Monos they are just occasionally moved by a large mouth opening up but nothing serious.

I know Diego means a lot to Laura but you have to push for a little group Tim, you know you want it back, you need it back!

For sure the Hulon hand is the measuring stick for Cichla across the world now, its a cichla landmark!!
