I need a pump for my sump and need around 400-500 gph.

I need around 600 gph and i can get the Rio 1700 for about 39 bucks and it does 642 gph. If i were to go with Quiet One pumps i would have to get model 3000 and is about 40 bucks and i get 781 gph.

This was edited from other thread of mine and after doing some research i went for the next Quiet one model and now it just seems like no competition, so i just want to know what you like/have heard about both pumps.

So what one would you rather go with? I am leaning towards the quiet one because i put some numbers in a calculator, and with all the elbows, horizontal movement and head height the Quiet One came up around 100 gph more than the rio.

So you guys be the judge.

Quiet one pumps are great..and they are just that..quiet. :D

I have 6 quiet one pumps...haven't had any problems and they live up to their namesakes.

My quiet one pumps are fantastic. I have 3 and they have all been great.

i have had a quiet one 3000 for a couple months now and it works great

I just replaced 6 rio 3100 from a tank cause of the problem with leaking voltage into the tank and getting shocked, replaced them with the quite one 4000 pumps and there much better overall. Get the quite one.
