quieter filter suggestions?

i have ac110 and its pretty silent, raise ur water level so the water falls quitely, oh yeah clean ur AC propeller once in awhile to silent it
if u want more silent than ac110, u need to look into cannister style, thats where they shine

Fluval 05 series quiet? But yea my Eheim and my cousin's fx5 are dead silent. You really can't go wrong with either.

On a tank of that size, you Wont need to go up to an fx5, but an extremely silent and great filter is an eheim 2217. I have a 2217, fx5, and cascade 700. Fx5 all te way for bigger tanks but 2217 for yours is perfect

Eheim is known for its silent longevity. HOB filter would be a Marineland penguin 350 or an Emperor 400.

Polyptasaurus, how long have you been running the AC70? They tend to get quitter after a month of use.
