So I descided with 1 Jack Dempsey, 1 Convict, 1 Salvini, and 1 Blood Parrot for my 120G tank. Can I have 6 Tiger Barbs as my dithers, or would they become lunch? My other option is 3 Silver Dollars, but I already have the Tiger Barbs and would like to keep them, what do you guys think? Thanks for the help!

How big are the salvini and JD? IMO they're the only 2 you have to worry about. I'd want to start out with the smallest JD and Sal and the biggest Tiger barbs that I could for the best chance of making it work.

I would be getting them when all small, but when they are all full size do you guys think it would be a problem? Thanks

I think as soon as the JD is big enough the Tiger Barbs will be lunch! Compared to the cichlids on your list the tiger barbs are going to be toast sooner or later.

They'll only be toast if the JD or sal decide to try eating them. I highly doubt the cichlids on his list would show any aggression towards the barbs.

You'll have the best chance by getting the JD as small as possible and let him grow up with the tiger barbs swimming around him. Don't ever feed him smaller fish so that won't be used to eating small fish and he may never bother the barbs.

It's all trial and error. If you have another tank then you can try it and move the barbs out at the first sign that the others might be looking at them as food.

I think the Tiger Barbs should be fast enough to stay out of the way. If raised together they should be fine. Just get a good group of barbs so they don't nip at the other fish and keep to themselves.

No problems in a 120gal tank id say my friend" Tiger barbs will be way to fast for your cichlids eneyhows!

should be a intresting setup to wotch!
