How did it crack, looks like someone took a baseball bat to it. Maybe it was the tank cracking fairies ?

Wow man, sorry to hear that. Glad you were able to get a larger tank. The remaining pieces would make a great start for a DIY tank, or you could always have the panel replaced. Either way, it still sucks.

Yes, I actually HAD to remove it because a couple cutteri fry had managed to get back there from when I had a pair breeding in the tank and had grown to over an inch. They are in a 20 gallon now.

damn... any idea how it cracked?

If you look at the pic of the crack, it looks like it starts at the seam on the right IMO (there was a big chunk of glass that came off right there too). It was a really old tank I bought off craigslist.

That's terrible and definitely not the best thing to come home to. Did you lose any fish or suffer significant damage to your home? Bright side is that got a legit excuse to get a new tank. Good luck with the new setup.

No and no. I'm sure my landlord wouldn't be too happy about it though... Good thing she lives in a different state.

Yeah, like remove it to my 135...

I managed to get it out in two pieces pretty cleanly. It retails for $286 before shipping, do you guys think someone would buy it (would love to give it away for free Dan but new tank/stand alone just cost me $400 )? What would be a good price for it?
