So what is killing the fish with the power out? Lack of O2? I've had power outages for up to 5 days (in winter) with no fish losses. I guess hot weather with no filtration could be worse...

Yeah I was pondering the same, had power out for 2 days but lost nobody. Wrapped the tanks in towels and blankets and used a battery bubbler and everyone was hunky dory

Sorry... it looked like an awesome fish.

Temperature dropping is the major killer when the power goes out. Lack of oxygen is probably a little bit further down the line. Depends on the fish and the setup though.
 
I read something about these guys in TFH magazine, definitely a tough fish.
