:cool:Sob Sob Sob Sob Sob Sob Sob Sob!

I am truly sorry for your loss. Spiders are so cool. :shark: :(

Yes, John survived his "castration"

I wouldn't use superglue, it's got some nasty vapors, and if it gets near the book lungs it's curtains. A better bandage is a single layer of tissue paper or a powder like talc or flour.
Large ruptures of the opisthosoma may require these treatments, but damage to the appendages will not result in exsanguination.

tatantula blood doesnt clot like ours does, or any other animal for that matter

so with two legs ripped off he probably bleed to death very slowly
T's loose legs in breeding all the time. Their legs grow back with each molt. Especially with young ones. I had a 4" Suntiger loose a front and back leg in a shipping accident and after 4 molts it is back to normal.

ewww spiders

Tarantulas, like most arthropods have an "automatic shutoff valve" located at the joints of most leg segments. When damaged the valve closes to prevent exsanguination (death from loss of blood [hemolymph]) The leg will grow back half size next molt, then full size on the subsequent molt. Adult males do not molt though!
