dam, sorry for ur loss, my st developed the same thing, it haven't ate for a month, i hope it wont have the same faith as ur aro.
My Aro hasn't eaten in a few days only. I would be worried if it hasn't eaten for a month.
 
Sorry for your loss. I really don't think it's because it did not eat for a few days. Arowanas can go "on diet" for a month easy especially at that size. I believe it is something else in the tank (aggressive between tank mates or water quality)

My bigger Silver Aros didn't bother it. Water quality is fine, other fish eat normally and aren't sick or anything. I know Aros can go on a diet for at least 2 months when 20"+. I've had it happen to 3-4 Aro that stopped eating for few days, but after that, it ate normally. I thought this Silver was doing the same, but it died. I think it ate something and damaged it's organ or something. Not sure.
