sorry for your loss..think back if he ate.. did he jump and hit the top knocking himself out.. keep an eye on your arow.. make sure he is doing okay
I never got any rescent photos of my CKF but I used this old one. My aro died close to 6 months ago he began to float verticle with barely any visible cause of death only the possibility he ate to many feeders. But anyways the CKF ate perfect and I just dont know what happened their was no signs of any damage or disease. Luckly the tankmates are okay..1 Hoplo cat...1 FL gar....1 channel cat...1 asain talapia (Snow White)... 1 Monster Goldfish...and 1 Brycon Barracuda.
This is what I think happened to my arow... But my CKF was on pellets, mabey he just ate to many or I think what adamson said sounds close to what happened.were you feeding knife feeders.. are these feeders your own raised feeders ... they transmit diseases we never even heard of if they are contaminated and most of them are... i even tried to save some feeder and those feeders died. With sickness like this you would not notice any external signs or none that are noticeable.. but internally parasites live on....... especially think this because you said Arow died .... and you feed feeders...Unless you quarenteen your feeders and raise them from fry.. they will always be a risk......
I agree, you take a big chance when feeding your fish with feeders.
I havent feed any of my fish feeders since 2 months ago when I got my gar to start eating talapia strips... Its kinda funny when your feeding a gar talapia strips and one of his tankmates is a talapia.
thats very good that they are on pellets.. did the knife eat feeders earlier.. sometimes it takes a long while to kill......
