My 1 year FH past away when hurricane Irene hit us. I didn't have a back up generator and i though my power would only cut out for like about 5 hours. But the power went out for 3 days...Well i would like to say that i really liked up, my whole purpose of loving fresh water fish is because of him. Here's a short story of the day he die. The power cut off around 7pm on Friday when the hurricane hit us. I though the power would be on by sat morning, apprently. I had to work that day so i though i picked up a battery bubble maker on the way home from work, but they didn't have any at my lfs. When i got home, i saw him breathing hard, i was pretty sure he was about to do soon. I though luckily i got a bubble maker from a friend. But when i open the thing, it need 2 big round batteries. But i didn't have any, i ran to the store, they was sold out, so **** me. Drove back home and realized i could use the batteries from my flashlight. When i put the battery in and got it working, i turned around and looked at my FH, realized its not breathing anymore...
Thinking of giving it CPR, but that's just stupid. So yes, my FH got to see me before he past away and i realized how big he was when i toke him out of the tank.
