Gutted-lost my large Silver within 24 hrs of it going off.

Mouth was staying open all the time, breathing rapidly and looked really rough around the girl rakers.Noticed a couple of small boils underneath the mouth too

Didn’t realize how big it was until I got it out of the tank-it was the first fish I put in when I set the tank up.

Thanks for the messages-it was a fat, healthy one up until a day ago. Great appetite

Been a long while since I’ve lost a Tigerfish and I forgot how crappy it is

Sorry for your loss....

How long have you had it and what was the starting size?

Was it kept in freshwater and if so what was the TDS and the hardness?

What has been its diet?

I am asking because I have one too and it looks like it needs to be kept in brackish water when bigger.

I got it at 4” last August if I recall exactly
Fed it on Tilapia stuffed with pellets.
100% freshwater-no idea what hardness is
Was kept with 2 smaller Thinbars and Polys

I’ve hard one in the past which was 12-13” and again was in full freshwater
