R/O DI systems help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I still need 125 gallons in order to do all my tanks. WAY to much to transport. I have 5 freinds that have 100+ gpd ro/di filters, but that doesn't help me.

I have done a planted tank, but I put those horrible memories behind me and I had a Coralife R/O when I had my last reef setup and I just dont like the Coralife setups so I will look into the spectra and the other options you guys gave me. Thanks.

I have a question regarding the RO/DI systems.

I am setting up a 12'x36" circular SW pond and I want to know what size (gpd) RO?DI sytem I should set up.

Thank you

Depends. How many holding tanks, or how many gallons can you hold in your house that are made? Do you want to do an auto top off? For a pond that big, I'd say probably a 110GPD that has a booster pump on it. How much will you need for each W/C? This also depends on if you want to make the water for a W/C 2 days in advance or 1 week.

I can have a 55g drum which will be used as a water holding tank. I will have the auto top off system get its supply form their. I was told by a fidh store manager that I will probably have about 30-40g of evaporation due to evaporation. I guess that a 50gpd RO/DI system could work. I might just get a 100gpd since it is only $20 more than the 50gpd unit.
