Now I'm confused....... With my Discus breeding I use stricly RO water. This ends up having a TDS of around 18. I don't personaly think RO water is much of an issue, but I could see RO/DI water being a problem. The DI takes the remaining stuff out, which gives you pure water. 0 TDS.
Also, as soon as the RO water hits anything it gains dissolved solids. So for a water change I would think that RO would be great. I just would maybe not reccomend starting a tank with RO/DI. I dunno, but if you add anything to the water, even food and stuff it is no longer pure water. I suppose it would be interesting to see the TDS of the fishes natural water.
I'd like to hear some more opinions on this.
