R/O Water Substitue Ect.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It depends on how large yuor tank is & what your water changes are. You need a TDS meter to test the RODI water regurlarly. Uaually the cheaper RO filters can be replaced every 6 months & the DI filter can last a year. I think I went 2 years once.

I would say that the one that you picked would be worth the price for the quality of the brand.

Which model were you thinking of getting?

50 gpd 4 stage one for $131

Sounds good, go for it.

You shouldn't need a pump. Are you really planning on making 50gpd??? Mine takes 2 hours to make 5g, which is a little less than I need for daily top-offs.

well the pump is when you have low water pressure in your facuet...it takes you 2 hours to make 5 gals how do you do your water changes?

I fill a 33g Brute bucket for that. I have a large pump plumbed on the outside of the bucket which mixes the salt inside & with the flick of a valve (2 valves actually), the water is pumped upstairs. The 5g I carry upstairs & keep an old salt bucket filled with that & top off with a pitcher, by hand.
