you mind posting pics of your s14? i plan on getting an s15 (if i can find one) and make it a project car.

love the way this one looks though

Nice S15, of course you can get them in the US but it's gonna cost you a pretty penny to get one here. Just like the Skylines GTS which can be bought for a couple of grand in Asia, it's at least 15k+ for R32 here... :screwy:

You drive a 240sx and are saying buy real nismo?

Haha I like the 240sx and will probably be my next car. But power, balance, distribution, and platform support the 350z wears the nismo better than any other Nissan or infinity.

Nice color on the old 240sx, would be my first choice with a maaco paint job.

engine made buy Renault! is effing french! how can a french engine make a real nismo? not to mention a weak french low reving heap of ish v6. not a nismo end of....... sorry but the last Z worth a bother was the 260......... nah ill keep my s14 anyday ta.

Are you talking about the KA, SR, CA, or RB motor?

The VQ is kinda different from the straight 6s. Nismo is just an in house tuner. They make performance parts for the motors above.

So that's what I mean as far as Nismo goes.

Kinda sucks that they are not really producing the straight 6's anymore.. :(

If your comparing your engine to a VQ its not even in the same league. I made more whp stock than you did with all your upgrades... Not to mention the "French" motor can handle 500whp without replacing a single thing.

Its so bad that people with silvia's do a VQHR motor swap eh? That doesn't make sense... even skylines have VQHR motor swaps...

The 180/240/300/350/370 are all reputable cars of Nissan.

They all have Nismo parts. Nothing wrong with any of them. They aren't Ferrari's by all means. But they are still one step down from the sportiest cars they produced at different eras. Excluding the GTRs or course.

My notions exactly. Unless you have sentimental value to the Stealth, it's not really up to par with technology. I spent a ton of money doing a swap and s/c my car only because it was my first.

If it wasn't for that, I'd sell it and buy something else. It'd be cheaper in the when it's all said and done. And for the same amount of money spent, it'd be faster than the initial project car.

This is my first car, but I have worked on many cars and have done a tremendous amount of research on this car. I know exactly what I'm doing, and it wont cost $10,000. I only paid $1,300 for the car. Parts will be around $7,000-$8,000 and the only labor will be having the block done. I,ll be doing everything else myself. And I'm only 17.

wa are u on, 350's run a vq35 originally a renault motor nissan purchassed the deign for and put into production... your 3.5l will spit its rods at approx 500bhp from standard. a sr20 will spit the rod at around 450-475bhp on a 2.0l which on papper is the stronger motor?

Nismo is used to describe any preformace nissian or dat over here and yes i know who nismo are. ie silvia z skyline pulsar all can fairly bre called nismos as all saw nismo attention...

and lol at KA's yall can keep then on the us domestic market thanks we anit seen them since s12's....

hmm id maybe have a manual 6speed out a 350 witha played with ratio or sum wheels to scuff thats bout it....

sex on wheels! Varietta!!!!!

LOL... I wasn't saying you guys had the CAs there, I was just making a point saying that "Nismo" can do performance mods for a wide range of their cars to make the car "Nismo". (like you said, just an in house tuner)

As far as the CA goes, I don't even know why they are here... Gives people here a reason to swap them out for a SR I guess... lol

I personally kinda like the S15 the way it was with the kit you posted more. The convertible is a little much.. IMO

But I am a Toyota/Honda guy... :P

Varietta's are all about the lin=mited 500 production number more than anything but top down silvia would be an experiance.

we got CA's on all s13's. just no more KA's after the s12's where as i beleave s13 era 240's in usa had a 2.4l KA lump i think??? not too up on us market nissina if im honest never really been a issue for me.

like if had to make a list of nismos i rate top 5 wud be,
5. s15
4. r34 gt
3. ps13
2. r32 gts
1. gt-r altho id be a lil lax to own one if it had to replace a drift car as sole ride im just tail happy.....

240sx= junk. one point in time they where nice, but that time is past and they aint worth it. Buddy has one with 20k in it. engine swap, turbo a TON of suspension work and make 302 hp and the rear wheel. They still could be nice(stick a freakin bigger engine, no replacement of displacement, period)

VQHR have made 1200hp bro. On paper and in real life, the 350z is a better car than a 240sx. Drifting may be the 240sx's only advantage which is why I am considering one because I am tail happy as crap.
