DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS! Omg raccoons might seem all harmless and all innocent but if you make one mad you are a goner! The raccoons Chase deer away from my deer feeders! Along with coyotes and foxes. If you make one of these little guys mad and you don't have a gun with you then you better run as fast as you can! A raccoon can kill someone if cornered or threatened. Do not throw a spear lmao. If you make him mad he may turn around and come gunning for you. Then you're screwed! Try to see if you can order some traps online or possibly an air rifle online. Order from airgundepot.com. get a budget air rifle which is at least 800 fps. That's enough to scare him away. Do not attempt to take him on 1v1 or you are screwed! These little guys pack a punch! One coon left a 1/2"deep by 3" long scar on one of the foxes I shot last year. Got it all on my hunting camera. But you're only solution is to order a trap or a high powered pellet rifle aka air gun

Lmfao that's a powerful gun right there! I'm 14 and my stepdad didn't even let me shoot it untilvi got a little bigger than I was

the kick came in handy when a young boy would not quit begging to handle guns.
my husband took him out in the hills and gave him a longgg session shooting that rifle. the pain finally became unbearable & he refused to continue.. LOL!
cured him permanently.

I use a 30/30 and 12guage pump w/ 36" barrel. But I kill on a 1500 acre ranch in cattle country Florida where I'm from. We shot hogs and gators with that arsenal but I bet it work for coon. Really any riffle would work. I've killed them with a .22 short(handgun). You just have to know where to hit them and be a good shot. I betcha you could do it with a high powered pellet gun like a gamo big cat or anything that shoots beyond 1200 fps. I would not suggest grip traps. Their illegal in some states and I think they seem cruel to grip an animal by the leg and sometimes you might not get a coon.

Luckily we don't got Racoons at my Country if not i'd gotta fight it with my kitchen knife and brooms?
Cause firearms are banned.
 
There are a few around here and they are the reason I don't have any koi in my little pond.They kept cleaning me out and eating the koi I just said that that's enough.They even killed the young turtles I had in there....Sounds as if all the thread starter has to do is find out how they are getting into his garage and put a stop to them getting in.
