Long overdue update. The fish is still doing great and growing seemingly by the day, I can't believe how small he was just last august when I got him. Still cannot get a single decent photo of him, maybe when I get a new phone one will be clear enough. On the aggression front nothing to bad, occasionally will chase one of the catfish or the archerfish but most of the time they just end up turning on him and chase him away.

He is doing really well, pushing 10 inches and feisty as ever. Just got back from a long vacation so haven't been around to get videos but will try to get one tomorrow.

How is yours with its tankmates?

Mine still hasn't been that aggressive, but turns out even though he is 8"-9" he decides eat all of his +5" tankmates, but leave some of them alone. I'm starting to think he ate his buddy, a 6" Opsariichthys bidens that always would swim with him, but he ate a few other fish that I never thought he could get down even with that large mouth

He has been pretty good with tankmates. He used to sometimes take a nip at some of them but I have not witnessed that in a very long time. That is crazy to hear the size of tankmates yours has been eating, I have been growing out a fish to add to the tank he is I will definitely play it super safe so there is no chance he can swallow it.
