  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you can also suck wate out of the tank with a pump and attack the pump to a showerhead that will spray the water over the tank

Unfortunitly I think there is more to work in a natural thunderstorm that you just cant recreate inside. Ions and such, but you could make one using drip plates, fogger for your fog, mp3 for thunder, and a PLC to time the intervuls.

Maybe Barometric pressure changes? I wonder how that sometimes intices fish to spawn. I wonder the same thing about the Rising Sun that causes some fish to spawn, like Fishdance mentioned.

easy peasy. just get a ****load of spray bars or make a spray plate and spray it on with a 5000lph pump.lol. and have the water level at 1/8 and have a barrier of substrate seperating male and female. and let it fill up to 6/8 and gradually turn down the pump leading to 6/8 and at6/8 have a full flow fx5 outake thing only no current produce so as to mimick water draiing from higer levels.

I was going to say spray bar as well.

The picture someone posted befire is what I was thinking of. However more of a plate thing suspended above the tank with water trickling onto the plate and into the tank via a powerhead.

I think for authenticity's sake the water coming in through that system would have to be clean, fresh water, not just recycled tank water. Maybe use it as a way to refill after a water change.

Actually that would be a pretty cool water change system. The water in the tank is slowly pumped out over the course of a couple days. Then when it hits a certain level the rain starts and fills it back up. Kind of like a continuous drip system but with a little more "Oomph"
