Here's some pics of Kaa and her setup. It's an exo-terra faunarium, heated by a 4W pad thats mainly under the largest bit of cork bark. Temps are a pretty much constant 30'C, dropping a little at night when I keep my door open so there's some airflow to prevent my room molding from the humidity. Humidity stays about 70%, tank gets misted twice a day and the top is covered by a damn towel to prevent the water escaping too quickly.

Looking into a new setup for my birthday (April 8th), what size do you think she'd be comfortable to move to next? She's just over a foot long. If it's better to keep her in this small faunarium until she's a certain size, that's fine, but I'd like to get another tank ready and set up for when she's a bit bigger.

She's eating well, took a fuzzy just the other day with no issues. Calm as anything aswell.

That's about it really...enjoy :D

Beautiful snake. I hear that Rainbow Boas are great snakes cuz they don't get that big for a boa.

Thanks, they grow 5-7 feet I believe :) Not much bigger than a corn snake, just a bit more bulky. I forgot to mention that the substrate is a cocopeat/sphagnum moss/bark mix. Not much risk of ingestion seeing as I feed her in a spare 3G tank.

Beautiful snake, Again, im glad you went for the rainbow boa. It was what first blew you away and what you really wanted deep down. Show pics again in a year when shes big!

you got a nice snake.is that the same as a brazilian raibow boa.

Cool snake!!!! Hope you enjoy the experience.

Looks awesome! I'm way too paranoid to trust a snake in those exo-terra containers lol

Be careful you don't over do it with the humidity, those exo-terra gauges are not super accurate. You're better off having a "wet box" instead of a cage that is soaking. Not all the rainbow boas need the same temps and humidity as a Brazilian, and Argentines require the least humidity and temp if I remember correctly.

This is my adult Guyanese RB, I've had her for 8 years...

Haha, me too, I've got a brick on top of it for extra security!

Thanks for the heads up, if I make a wet box inside the tank, what humidity would be good for the rest of the tank?
