Aww. that's too bad.
Your angel is BEAUTIFUL btw. I love angels and are the second group of fish I love most (second to, you guessed it, dwarfs).
Do you have other angels?
Any pics?

I think one my be a female and one a male of a different species.

Anyway, rainbows are shaoling fish and need to be in groups of 5+. Preferably per species but a mix is better than only two.
Agreed, have had a few problems with keeping just a rainbow or 2 in the tank. Mostly with their aggression. Had mine going after the angelfish all the time and when the angels had enough of it and killed him. He just wouldn't stop trying to bite their fins so he got bit in return and when ya have 2 breeding angels against 1 rainbow, it don't matter how fast he is, he wasn't escaping from it. And yeah it just all happened when I was at work so by the time I got home he was already gone.

Yeah lol ya really never realize how aggressive angels can be until ya have a breeding pair. Mine used to beat up my convict of all things lol. Never found another fish that could stand against a convict besides angels for some strange reason.

Wow. I do have to ask THAT question: Why were you keeping angels with convicts?
We are getting off topic so i'll shut up now. :)

Lol he was just growing out in that tank till he was big enough to go in with the rest of the cichlids in the big tank. Got him at ¼in and had him in there till he was 3in. He never had problems with the angel till he reached 2in. But yeah he's got his own tank now till he goes home with a buddy of mine. Btw he's 5in atm and about 4 years old.
