.....thats a good question....
Hey guys, pickin up a rainbow hifin wolf soon and i cant find ANY worthwhile info on them. If any of you have exp with them or if you know something about them, PLEASE let me know:) Want to know the scientific name, max size, etc. If you have pics of em post em up!
Many thanks!

well I had one.. awesome fish. mine jumped out of my tank right when I moved him out of the 36 to 75.. out of a tiny hole.. so they will jump. He wasn't real real aggressive.. but would occasionally chase after fish, or when a fish would bully him he would do it right back.. but he didn't kill anything, beautiful fish though. I believe they get around 6" to a foot correct me if I'm wrong.. thats all for now =) i've got to go

The scientific name is (forgive the spelling) erithinus erithinus and i have had one it never recovered from shipping and died a day after i bought it. beautiful fish and I had a 12 inch common wolf jump one night. Wife found the head and thought a snake had got into the house and the cats killed it no signs of the body hope the wolf got in his bites on the cat before he succomed.

Erythrinus erythrinus is the hifin Wolf. Erythrinus Sp. Peru is the Rainbow Wolf, Both get to 8*. They are not at all fussy eaters I feed mine all of the frozen foods, Mussels, Shrimp and fish. They are not out and out killers. My Rainbow is a shy fish and easily spooked.

A great fish and for all you in the US of A who can't keep Snakeheads I have found these small Wolves very similer to keeping Dwarf Snakeheads

Below is my Rainbow

I am looking forward to getting one myself! this one in the picture below!!!:headbang2 is this a High Fin Wolf? Why does it look different though? Does the colouration and body pattern change as they grow? Or is this the Rainbow Wolf fish? I find it very attractive.
