That stinks man! I would try a bala shark! Although they get up to 12 inches they only grow 2-4 inches a year!

thanks for your concern.

Is there any room after this stock for anything (not a bala but In general)?

1 green severum
1 convict
1 firemouth
6 giant danios
1 striped raphael cat
1 sailfin pleco (2 years)
1 pimelodus blochii

I did like the look of the shark so would there be any room for say.....a pair of botias (loaches)? Or am I dreaming to big (again) since I don't want to overload my bioload either.

Well on this forum (or any forum for that matter) you will get so many different opinions. But if you had the shark in the stock ALREADY then you will be fine on adding another similar sized fish! As for botias, it depends on the type. What type are you think of? I think that your bottom level of the tank may be pretty maxed as it is... If you are gonna add something else i would say add something that is a top/middle swimmer... And loaches (botia) prefer large groups. I REALLY recommend a blue gourami! They stay all the way at the top and mine is now 6 years old! They are tough hardy fish! And mine hand feeds! As soon as the lid opens he is there! Great fish!

well a few things.

I have a blue gourami in my 30 tall, like you said, they are awesome and mine handfeeds as well, she is really social with other fish is the nice thing. I always thought botias were great in pairs but I guess not. Also I don't think I'm maxed out on bottom level fish yet since at max size raphael will be 6 or 6.5" I'm guessing and nocturnal, four line will be about 7" and pleco will only be in there until about 8" so I think there is still space. I don't know. If you guys want to suggest stuff to me then feel free to.

Oh I guess firemouth and convicts are bottom level fish now that I think about it. So you were saying top level, like gouramis. I could do a gourami or two since they are such nice fish but a few specifications first.
I don't want:
dwarf
blue/gold
pearl
chocolate

not sure there are many left after eliminating those but if you know of any compatible ones not on that list please inform me.

You figure out how to bump but you bumped the wrong thing. You got the info you needed on the shark. Now your going off topic and should bump on of the 5 other threads you have on stock. Since we are already off topic of just stick to what you have now and just wait for them too grow!
