They get to about 8 inchs or so, the top of the tank has to be very well covered, literally no spots open, if they can fit there head through they probly will end up on the floor

dude you have to post pictures of your assam, i really would like to know the difference because i have 5 bleheri
 
The Bleheri keeps it`s colour. I Have 2, and they are about 8" now, and about a year old. I keep them in a 50 G tank, with a 11" hujeta, and several other small fish.
In the other tank in my living room 110G, I keep 2* Micropeltes 10", and 2* Oscar 10". Sadly the micro`s looses most of the colour when they get bigger.
But I still love them anyway.. :headbang2
 
Yes it is a Bleheri in my Avitar, From what I have seen the Sp. Assam has less colouring on the body and more blue on there fins. They used to be called Blue Bleheri some time ago.

thats a lot of fish in a 50 gallon tank... my sump is a 50gal tank. i cant even think of haveing 3 big fish in there.
 
Awesome dude, beautiful fish. The Assam look really similar to the bleheri, my 5 bleheri are all roughly 3 inchs they kinda look like those just with more orange, but they also have alot of blue as well.
