Oh yeah the fish above look just like rainbows not browns. Those guys look alittle stressed thats why the dude above thinks there browns. Rainbows all day.

Sorry but these "brown" trout doesnt have any red spots on them. So I believe thats only regular hatchery rainbow, not hybrids of brown/rainbow trout which is very rare because of two totally different geneus (bows in Oncorhynchus and the browns in Salmo) not good hatchery trout....yet that pond are full of regular rainbow. And please read on the guide field to North America Freshwater fishes book again. These trout are hatchery strains which isnt very bright colorful as the wild trouts and you can see the rugged fins, the signs from rubbing each other in the overcrowded holding pen when the trouts were in the farm before stocked in the pond. No hatchery farmers want to cross rainbows with cutthroats basically because cutthroats are threatened species.

what a 1000g tank for 2 trout, ha rainbows dont get that big, maybe need a 200 gal max

Their likely to get 24-30" eventually and they are wild caught and so active so i think maybe 1000G is too small!

1,000gal is good size for two fully grown hatchery trout.

Ye i agree it would look amazing having a massive tank with a masive flow rate big pebbles and a load of long weed and plants moving in the flow with some huge rainbows powering up and down through the plants!
Its a thing ive allways wanted to do with browns i think it would be an incredible setup but i dont have room or funds..............YET!!;):D

I rather have wild trout than hatchery trout because they are more colorful and hardy than these hatchery trout. But these days when the wild trout become uncommon in some states due to hybridizing with hatchery trout cause weaker offspring and messed up genetics. On other hand its really easy to get a hatchery trout than get wild trout. Our world record rainbow trout are actually come from a hatchery farm which she and other breeders escaped into the river.

thats cool but what about a 1000 gal with a few steelhead and ocean form brown trout, that would be beautiful

More like 5,000 gal if you have a group of couple 3 footer actively swimming trouts.
