Rainbow Wolf Fish Tank Mates

I'm considering purchasing a wolf fish and was wondering what types of species are compatible. I was thinking along the lines of thick-bodied fish over 6 inches like gouramis, leaf fish, or jack dempseys, and armored catfish like the striped raphael or pleco. Do these types of tankmates sound like a recipe for disaster?

Get the wolf at a smaller size and get the other fish much larger. Be cautious as a jack dempsey and red wolf might be a prob. If it’s geophagus or a severum then it’ll be fine. The gouriami May get nipped on my nice bigger.

Half or same size but not the same temperament. It can lead to aggression once bigger. This is in regard to cichlid and wolf.
