We'll i love my new wolf fish but i wan't somethin on the bottom to pick up the food he misses so has any body here kept ANY THING with a rainbow wolf i know i can be a waste of money to try tank mates but it would be cool to find somethin he will let live I figure that the chances are better then with a common wolf fish but still doesn't seem to likely

so if you have kept your rainbow wolf with other fish please post what they are i'm thinkin a rapheal catfish or somethin

right now its in a 10 gallon to put some size on i don't think i will try it in this tank but when I introduce it into a bigger tank mabye i could try somethin then or do you think it would be better to try and grow it out with somethin like you would with a cichlid

My Rainbow wolf just got shipped today so hopefully he'll arrive nice and safely.

That being said I'm going to attempt to keep two Senegal Bichirs and some type of catfish with him as well. I'm actually going to attempt several tank mates with the philosophy of if it can't eat it, then it will leave them alone. So it will unfortunately be trial and error.

Now as for your question I think a raphael of some sort would definitely work as they are tough little guys. But there is only one way to find out. At least they are cheap :D

rainbows are not highly aggressive as common hoplias's etc...Mine was very social and always swam with my other fish..

my common wolf attack everything i put in his tank, not for food but just to kill,he's 8in right now and i put in a 13in plecoustimous and he killed it then after that i tried a redtail and he attacked it so i took it out,the rt was about 10in,i wouldnt spend alot of money for his tankmates as they will most likely be killed eventually

my old red wolf was always hungry and always trying to eat everyone (even bigger tankmates)

even after putting in a divider, he figured out how to get under it to get to my atf on the other side.

sneaky little bugger...

we'll hes with a blue twin spot gourami right now and chases it around every now and then but he just stuffed him self on shrimp and it just chillin under the drift wood in his tank pretty much keeping to him self i think i'll try to introduce some thin when hes stuffed like this

Me i have pics i just can't up load them set my computer has some stupid setting on it i'll try to get it fixed

minie lives in a community with 5 polypterus (some even smaller) some tetras (could be food if he's hungry), a dat and some plecos. he seems to be best friends with my large senegal, always seeking his company, lying next to him. no aggressions whatsoever...

Mine just came in today.. Right now he's in a 55 by himself.. I'm going to end up trying some other fish like African butterfly's or something that I don't think he'll see as food or a threat.

I can see he looks so cool, kinda like an angry old man :D or a turtle head with teeth :D
