Would LOVE to have a small trio or so of the yellow tails.
And a trio of these guys, but where the hell can I find them?
Cynodon gibbus

Ok cool, so the yellow tail will get that as well?
How hard are payara to keep? I've always liked them.
Not too hard. Need clean water and large swimming space. Scombs will not make it past 12in and armatus don't live past 2ft. There always the exceptions. Fugupuff is selling armatus that get to 3ft and won't die after hitting the 2ft mark. Something of interest.

Haven't seen in a while. Sensitive fish. Another fish needing clean water, tank space and current. Try aquabid and aquascapeonline.

Thought it was just us Americans that's couldn't get them past 2'? Pretty sure someone shared and said it isn't rare in Asia. And I don't think Wes has a specific kind that'll get over that, just stating they're potential.

It was in his recent post for selling armatus. Get 3ft long and won't suddenly die. Your right moe214 moe214 theres no specific kind. Not sure about the Asia thing but I don't doubt there are some monster armatus out there. I'm sure they replicate the living conditions needed for the giant payara.

Hmm... interesting. If I can find a Scombs I will try one of them. I wonder if I provide decent swimming spaces, water change every other day, and good diet if I can get one to live past 12''. Each fish is different they say, so time will tell, although up here they are rare so I'd have to order online.

Yeah, they seem to be rare but according to some of their species profiles are easier to keep. If I find one or two I will jump on them and grab them.
