Rainbow X Texas update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just looks like pure Texas to me
Did you see the rainbow spawn with the Texas?

Not pointless just a stepping stone into a even better hybrid project.
What could this project possibly be? Just mixing as many cichlids together as possible? Or crossing all these fish to "texas" to eventually cross the mixed Texas offspring to end up with something that will look like a Texas? I don't think you have anything in mind here. Just mixing and making undesirable fish.

I guess you’ll have to wait and see. You don’t think he has anything in mind, but clearly he has something in mind. F1 is definitely not the conclusion here. What you see here is essentially dwarfed down Cyano with very good Pure Cyano genetics I must say. To the naked eye they appear that way but they are indeed x rainbow. Knowing Jaxson_Beans Jaxson_Beans he has practically infinite cards up his sleeve with the hybrid game so no this is not all for an undesirable fish and far from an end product. From this point there is many directions to go. Nothing wrong with a bit of experimentation.

Well you may not think I don’t have anything in mind but imo these are very solid. They have almost perfect pearls for a F1 shape is messed up fighting between beak and the round rainbow but it can easily be fixed. Now the reason I think this is a great cross is one they will never get big or huge which is a the whole thing I’m going and breeding around for my projects. 2 it’s got nearly perfect pearls which means I can now use these rainbows tex as a base to cross to other species to reduce size as well as introduce pearling. So they are a stepping stone into other projects and crosses. No where near the final product but a big step.

Or, if you just wanted small herichthys, you could've just got tamasopoensis to begin with and skipped the whole "hybrid project" thing
