Seems like that's all we get to talk about here, and that's what I hate most about this forum. Why close a thread in the middle of a discussion? what's the point of even having a forum? I could understand if it were about something a child shouldn't hear about, but Cmon! immigration?? Not being able to talk about it only makes things worse.

Yeah it definitely sucks when you try to have a intelligent discussion and someone comes in and starts getting all butt hurt about it, then it get's closed. There has to be rules but you can have a discussion without breaking those rules. Most immature people don't understand that.
In general Religion and Politics are always off limits. Once a mature discussion goes south it can either be closed or cleaned up at the MODS discretion. I have been on many forums a long time and if it goes unchecked non-fish arguements typically spill over into the fish forum, which is the main reason why we are all here....

I'm a member on other forims. If I want to talk politics I go to the forum where it is appropriate. I'm here for fish and the lounge is just for humor and strangeness (in my case at least). I dont want peoples ignorant opinions to affect how I look at their fish, So I dont mind the rules.
