I'm just saying we should be able to have a civil conversation here among ourselves where at least we have an idea of who's saying what.

Unfortunately certain topics don't lend them selves well to civil conversation. Certain topics are way too polarizing for there to be much middle ground.

Here, we have an idea of who's playing with a full deck.

Until you open that deck and count all the cards you really don't know who is or isn't playing with a full deck. A person can be a moderate on any topic but have that one issue that gets them foaming at the mouth.
