Rainwater

The brown is from the tannins in the wood after sitting a while, but with each new rain event, the brown is usually washed out.
And in 20+ years have not lost a fish after using it,
And funny, when I do use the rain mixed with tap (mostly) to equalize temp, the rain water seems to trigger spawning.
You use this on your fish or just plants?
Plants wouldn't be a big deal, but I've got thousands $ in rays. That's a big gamble. Imo

I figured it would trigger spawning . It rained last night and I "caught" about 20 gallons of water. It looks pretty clean. I think I may try throwing a 5 gallon bucket of it in too see the difference.

Im hoping that since paratilapia seem to do well in ponds ( spawning) I would try using the rainwater method to see if that would trigger anything. The water is pretty clean where I am from .

Once my wife gets back to work (just had a baby) I'm going to buy test kits and experiment with it I'll start a post when I do start with my findings it'd be cool to get multiple people from around the world to do the same testing with rainwater maybe we can come up with a standard
